Last Minute….Again
Posted on | December 13, 2009 | 3 Comments
Why do I always wait til the last minute to think about Christmas knitting? While some of you have been busy planning since July (or at least October), I haven’t taken heed again this year. I’ve decided to make 4 pairs (possibly 5) of the French Press Felted Slippers.
They are actually quite quick to knit up, but I do have 4 pairs on my list here. In my mind, I see where this is going already. It’s Christmas, and all the little slippers are wrapped up in cute boxes. Then the recipient opens them and they have a 14″ long slipper that would fit Bigfoot. Then I apologize. “Sorry guys, I didn’t get a chance to felt them. Can I have those back?” Let’s hope that doesn’t happen! There’s nothing like deadline knitting, and I think this is deadline knitting at its finest.

Depending on the craftiness of the recipients, they might *enjoy* felting the slippers themselves. Perhaps you could save time on some of them by just including felting instructions in the box with the bigfoot slippers? That way they would have a really custom fit, too. Good luck with the production knitting! :-)
